Dutch National Parks Foundation (SNP Foundation)

The Dutch National Parks Foundation is a collaboration between the twenty National Parks, the government, landowners, site managers and nature organisations. The most important partners are the ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food quality, State Forest Service, Foundation for the protection of Nature monuments, Provincial Landscape trusts, Federation of Private Landowners and IVN (Association for Environmental Education).The aim of the Dutch National Parks Foundation is to preserve the National Parks as unique and attractive nature reserves. Not just for outdoor recreation but also for research, public information and education to encourage people to support nature.

 

The SNP aims to:

  • encourage knowledge exchange between the National Parks,
  • set up and coordinate joint projects,
  • promote the interests of the National Park system and
  • encourage public involvement.

The Dutch National Parks Foundation has the following employees:
