Workshop nature and disability

March 13th 2008 a workshop on facilities for disabled persons in National Parks was held. The workshop was organised by the Dutch National Parks Foundation and the foundation for nature and disability (Stichting Groen en handicap). The aim of the workshop was to make an inventory of the need for facilities for disabled persons in the National Parks. The needs were put into the following categories: attainability, accessibility, utility and information.

Among the participants of the workshop were site managers, policy makers, guides and users of the park. A list of four criteria for attainability, accessibility and utility was drawn up.
