On February the 6th 2008, the partners in the Dutch SNP Foundation signed a manifest for improvement of the quality of nature in National Parks. Over recent years, a lot has been done to improve management, development, recreation, information and education in the Dutch National Parks. However, a quality improvement is still needed. The Dutch SNP Foundation wants the National Parks to be the best parts of the Ecological Main Structure (network of natural areas within the Netherlands). In order to reach this goal, certain actions for quality improvement are needed. Therefore, the associates of the SNP Foundation drew up a manifest 'Improvement of Nature quality' containing urgent investments for this improvement. The manifest is signed by the Dutch SNP Foundation, Staatsbosbeheer, Natuurmonumenten, IVN, Federation for Private Landowners and the Provincial Landscape Trusts.
